June 2008 - The exhibition inside the wheelhouse
Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and starts at the Titan
Crane ticket office. At the ticket office, there's a
small cafe facility, an exhibition and shop. From here the
Titan minibus will staff will shuttle you round to the Crane.
There are fully accessible toilet facilities at both the
ticket office and at the Crane. The bus is also fully
wheelchair accessible, but please advise if there is more than one
wheelchair user in your party.
Remember it can be cooler and windier at 150ft than at ground
level so please wear appropriate clothing. Also, on the jib
platform, flat shoes are best.
New for 2010
As part of the new season, we have introduced guided walking
tours of the Crane and the site. This guided tour gives more
detailed information about the site and the vessels built here, as
well as allowing visitors to view the site on foot. There is no
extra charge on top of the normal ticket price for this tour, and
will run every day the Titan is open from 2.30pm. If you would like
to take one of these tours, we ask that you arrive at the Ticket
office before 2.30pm where the guides will meet you and take you
