Shipbuilding Exhibition is now Open at the Clydebank Museum

Celebrating the vast industrial heritage of Clydebank, the
Shipbuilding Exhibition at teh Clydebank Museum is now open. This
exhibition showcases artefacts of the John Brown Shipyard, as well
as many of the other yards that once dominated West Dunbartonshire.
The exhibition features the shipbuilding firms of
Napier,Denny and McMillan in Dumbarton; John Brown in
Clydebank;Beardmore in Dalmuir and Scotts of Bowling. Themes
include the companies, workforce, famous vessels and the
unions.
The exhibition also features ship models from the local
collection, artefacts, photographs, archives and
recontructions.
From 27th April until 18th
September 2010
Free to visit between 10am-1pm and 2-4pm from Tuesday
through to Saturday.
